A limited edition remarque proof etching, print number 87 of an edition of only 200 impressions.

Aime Dallemagne; 1882-1971,  French Painter-etcher (Hors Concours, Medaille d'Honneur et Membre du Jury au Salon des Artistes Francais.) Aime Dallemagne was a French School painter and aquafortiste born in Saint Germain-en-Laye (Seine-el-Oise) on March 16, 1882. He began to exhibit his work in the Salon des Artistes Francais in 1905. He is listed in Benezit.

An extremely fine etching which has bright and unfaded colour, with excellent fine detail and rich raised black ink detail and lines. The image size measuring approximately 23 cms. x 40 cms. (9 x 15½ ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a wove paper sheet size of 33 cms. x 51 cms. (13 x 20 ins.) with full margins and deckle edges.

The sheet carries a remarque etching the bottom left with the edition 87/200 in pencil.

Signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin.

Unframed and unmounted the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
