Brian Dunlop; 1938–2009, Australian still life and figurative painter born in Sydney and studied at National Art School in Darlinghurst. Dunlop painted in Sydney and Ebenezer in New South Wales and travelled to Italy, Greece, Majorca, Morocco, India and the United Kingdom. He painted many portraits of public figures, including Queen Elizabeth II in 1984. Dunlop settled in Panton Hill and then Port Fairy in Victoria. He held many exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne.
An original print which is bright and unfaded in coloured inks. The image measuring approximately 71 cms. x 51 cms. (28 x 20 ins.) printed on a wove paper sheet measuring 76 cms. x 57 cms. (30 x 22½ ins.) with full margins and deckle edges. This item will be shipped rolled.
Signed and titled in pencil by the artist in the lower margin with the edition 9/25 also in pencil. The sheet also carries an embossed blindstamp to the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with minor handling marks condusive with age.
