Dilys Bryon (born 1930), British, 20th century, female. painter, engraver, Bryon studied at the Wimbledon School of Art in London, where she was awarded a diploma. She also earned a teaching diploma. She went on to study engraving at Morley College and work at S.W. Hayter's studio Atelier 17 in Paris in 1991. Her engravings, which she colours using the method invented by Hayter, are sometimes abstract and sometimes of floral subjects.

A superb etching which is bright and unfaded, in black ink, with raised intaglio ink lines, plate tone and detail. The image size measuring approximately 40 cms. x 54 cms. (16 x 21 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a wove paper sheet size 72 cms. x 54 cms. (28 x 21 ins.)
Signed dated and titled in pencil by the artist beneath the image, with the annotaion A/P for Artists Proof.
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and sheet is very good with light foxing and handling marks condusive with age.
