Eric Warhurst Platt 1915-   Watercolourist and etcher, exhibited at the Royal Academy. Born in Cudworth, Yorkshire and studied at the Royal College of Art. Eric served in the Second World War in the Far East and produced several paintings reflecting his experiences. He became a teacher at the Doncaster school of Art eventually taking the post as Vice Principal.

A fine and rare etching which is bright, unfaded and crisp in black ink, with fine detail and superb plate tone. The image size measuring approximately 18 cms. x 29 cms. (7 x 11½ ins.) within a strong platemark and excellent impression, on medium wove paper sheet size of 22 cms. by 37 cms. (8¾ x 14¾ ins.)
 

Hand signed in ink by the artist in the image.

Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and the sheet is excellent.
