Sir Frank Job Short; 1857-1945; In 1883 Frank entered the Royal College of Art and became an instructor of etching and the head professor of the engraving school. He was elected President of the Society of Painter-Etchers and was selected as an academician of the Royal Academy of Art and served as its treasurer.

A very fine etching which has bright and unfaded colouring, with black intaglio ink lines and detail and fine plate toning.The image measuring approximately 30 cms. x 20 cms.(12 x 8 ins.)

Printed within a strong platemark and impression on a laid paper sheet size 37 cms. x 24 cms.(14½ x 9½ ins.) with makers watermark.

The etching is signed by the artist in pencil in the lower margin

Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
