Original etching by Georg Gresko from the estate. Published in small quantities in the Edition Griffel Art Association Hamburg 1964. (created in 1952)

Georg Gresko; 1920-1962, German painter and graphic artist. In 1934 studied with the painter Otto nails and from 1936 he began a glass painter apprenticeship. The first post-war years Gresko spent in Berlin, where in 1949 he organised an artist self-help.

This etching has retained  its excellent colouring, bright and unfaded with black ink lines, superb detail and  textures, the image measuring 28 cms. x 38 cms. (11  x 15 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression.

Printed on a medium wove paper sheet measuring 38 cms. x 54 cms. (15 x 21 ins.) with full margins.

Unmounted and unframed, with details and facsimile signature in ink on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
