Limited edition colour drypoint etching
an early print number 59 in an edition of only 150 impressions.
Henry Wilkinson; 1921 -2011, English etcher and painter, Henry was born into an artistic family and studied at Winchester College of Art and the Royal College of Art, also as a pupil of Robert Austin and Malcolm Osborne at the Royal Academy Engraving School. He studied in Germany, France and Italy and after the second world war he was elected to the Royal Society of Painter, Etchers, & Engravers.
A fine drypoint etching which is bright with unfaded colours, the image printed within a strong plate mark and impression, on a laid paper sheet measuring approximately 26 cms x 18 cms. (10¼ x 7¼ ins.)
Signed in pencil bottom right, with the edition 59/150 in pencil bottom left.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is very good with handling marks condusive with age.
