James Alphege-Brewer; English painter and etcher, son of the artist H. W. Brewer and brother of H. C. Brewer, R.I. James exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Paris Salon. Lived in London and flourished 1900-1945. A sought after and collected etcher and well known for his architectural images.

This fine etching has retained its excellent colouring, bright and unfaded, with superb detail and plate tone in black ink, the image measures approximately 25 cms. x 17 cms.( 10 x 7 ins.)  within a strong platemark and impression.

Printed on medium wove paper sheet size 33 cms. x 24 cms.(13 x ins.)

Signed and titled in pencil below the image with a series of Proof embossed blind stamps in the lower margin.

Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is very good.
