John Fullwood; English etcher; 1854-1931, a successful landscape painter, etcher and illustrator, he studied in Paris and Birmingham. Exhibited at the Royal Academy and was a member of the R.B.A and R.I.
A very fine original drypoint etching which is bright and unfaded, with excellent plate tone, detail and drypoint burr in black ink, the image measuring approximately 13 cms. x 25 cms, (5 x 10 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a laid paper sheet size of 16 cms. x 29 cms, (6¼ x 11 ins.)
Signed and titled in pencil by the artist in the lower margin with a series of Proof embossed blindstamps below the image.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
