Marino Marini; 1901-1980; Italian artist and sculptor, he attended the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. After 1922 Marini devoted himself primarily to sculpture and succeeded Martini as professor at the Scuola d'Arte di Villa Reale in Monza, a position he retained until 1940. In 1946 the artist settled permanently in Milan but on his return to Europe, he stopped in London, where the Hanover Gallery he had a solo show of his work, and there met Henry Moore.
A fine print which is bright and unfaded in coloured inks. The image printed on a laid paper sheet measuring 38 cms. x 49 cms. (15 x 19 ins.)
Signed and dated in the lower image, the sheet carries a 'Braun & Cie' embossed blindstamp in the lower image.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with edge wear and handling marks condusive with age.
