Abraham Hertochs; flourished 1626–1661. Dutch engraver who worked in England and produced various engraved title-pages, portraits and other book illustrations, including the frontispiece to Evelyn's Sculptura (1662)
A rare etching which is bright and unfaded with excellent detail and intaglio black and red ink lines, the image size measuring approximately 19 cms. x 31 cms. (71/2 x 12 ins.) on an early laid paper sheet, trimmed to within the platemark as was the practise.

Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age, and has been attached to an exhibition sheet with false margins.
