Pierluigi Bartolucci-Alfieri (Pier Luigi B. Alfieri; Alfieri Pierluigi Bartolucci); Ferrara 1892- Rome 1933, Italian engraver, illustrator and painter. Worked as a graphic designer, after WWI  took up etching. In 1933 he posthumously won 1st prize with the Concorso di Calcografia in Rome. Pierluigi lived to the age of forty-one and appears to have produced  few works, those that can be identified are engraved views of European cities, as is our example and can be found at;

A finely detailed etching in dark brown ink with rich intaglio inking, the image size measuring approximately  16 cms. x 23 cms, (6½  x 9 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a laid paper sheet, measuring 22 cms. x 29 cms. (8½  x 11½ ins.) with makers watermark. 

Signed and dated in the image with a small vignette remarque image and titled and signed in pencil in the lower margin.

Unmounted and unframed, blank on the reverse,  the condition of the image and sheet is very good.
