Primrose Vera Pitman; 1902-1998, Painter artist born near Exeter, Devon who studied at Exeter College of Art under James Sparks. Pitman became a member of the R.W.A. and of the Society of Graphic Artists in 1953.

This scarce original etching from a rarely offered artist, is bright and unfaded, in black ink with excellent detail,  the image measuring approximately 5 cms. x 8 cms. (2 x 3  ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a medium wove sheet, size 8 cms. x 11 cms. ( 3¼ x 4¼ ins.) with makers watermark.

Signed in pencil below the image.

Unmounted, unframed and attached by its upper edge to a backing card, the condition of the image is excellent and the sheet good with light foxing to the sheet.
