In 1812 Robert Laurie retired and his son, Richard Holmes took over the business. The firm still exists as Imray, Laurie, Norie and Wilson Ltd.

A beautiful aquatint etching which is bright and unfaded in coloured inks with fine lines, detail and hand colouring, the image size measuring approximately 22 cms. x 30 cms. (8½ x 12 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on an early wove paper sheet size of  44 cms. x 58 cms.( 17¼ x 23 ins.) with a 'J.Whatman 1794' makers watermark.
