Simon Brett; 1943-.....Artist, illustrator and engraver born in Windsor, raised in London, educated in Yorkshire at Ampleforth College and learned wood engraving from Clifford Webb at Saint Martin's School of Art, London. He travelled to New Mexico, Denmark and Provence and took up teaching at Marlborough College Art School in Wiltshire. Between 1981 and 1988, he published books under his own Paulinus Press imprint.
This very fine engraving is bright and unfaded in black ink. The image printed on a wove paper sheet size 20 cms. x 14 cms. (8 x 5½ ins.) within a strong block impression.
Signed and dated in the image and signed and titled in pencil by the artist with the edition 4/75 also in pencil.
Unframed, unmounted and blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
