Walter Richard Rehn; 1884-1951, German painter and graphic artist. Trained in Meissen and at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Dresden and at the Academy of the Arts in Dresden with Carl Bantzer, Richard Müller, and Oskar Zwintscher. 1910-30 Mainly active as a graphic designer, and later as a painter.
A very finely detailed original drypoint etching in black ink which is bright and unfaded, the image size measuring approximately 19 cms. x 15 cms, (7½ x 6 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a wove paper sheet, measuring 34 cms. x 26 cms. (13¼ x 10¼ ins.) with deckle edges.
Pencil signed and titled by the artist beneath the image.
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and sheet is excellent with a toning to a previous mat window.
