All the men of Abraham’s house gather around, while Ishmael is circumcised as a sign of the covenant between God and Abraham
A fine early etching, bright and unfaded, with black ink lines and fine detail, the image size measuring approximately 20 cms. x 14 cms, (8 x 5¼ ins) on a laid paper sheet trimmed to within the platemark as was the practise.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age, the sheet is attached to a backing by its edges.
