Alfred Sharp; 1929- English artist born in London, whose works in acrylic, pen and ink and etching has been exhibited at the Mall Galleries and Germany and Italy as a member of The Association of European Community Artists, Painters, Sculptors and Engravers.
A very fine etching which is bright and unfaded, with excellent fine black ink detail and lines. The image size measuring approximately 45 cms. x 30 cms. (17¾ x 11 ¾ins) within a strong and evident platemark and impression on a wove paper size of 49 cms. x 37 cms. (19½ x 14½ ins.) with Somerset paper embossed blindstamp.
Printed at the Hope Sufference studio, London and carries the Hope embossed blindstamp.
The sheet is signed in the image with the artists monogram and has the edition 2/25 in pencil in the lower margin.
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and sheet is very good with handling marks condusive with age.
