Arthur James F. Bond; 1888-1958, British oil and watercolour painter and etcher. Born at Devonport and lived at St. Margarets On Thames 1912, Twickenham, Middlesex 1913, Barnes, Surrey 1918 and Richmond, Surrey 1937. Arthur has exhibited at the Royal Academy.
A very fine drypoint etching which has retained its excellent colouring, is bright and unfaded, with fine texture, plate toning and drypoint burr, the image measures approximately 25 cms. x 17 cms. (9¾ x 7 ins.) within a strong plate mark and impression.
Printed on a medium laid paper sheet size 34 cms. x 27 cms, (13¾ x 10½ ins.)
Signed by the artist in pencil in the lower margin.
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image is excellent and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
