Bryan Organ; born 1935; British artist, born in Leicestershire, he now lives in London and Leicestershire, studied at Loughborough College of Art and at the Royal Academy Schools and was a Lecturer in Drawing and Painting at Loughborough College of Art from 1959-65.
His paintings include portraits, the following of which are in the National Portrait Gallery: Dr Roy Strong, 1971; Lester Piggott, 1973; Harold Macmillan, 1980; HRH The Prince of Wales, 1981; Lady Diana Spencer, 1981; Lord Denning, 1982; Jim Callaghan, 1983; HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, 1983.
This superb original print has retained its excellent colouring, bright and unfaded, with richly inked tones and textures. The image measures 48 cms. x 48 cms, (19 x 19 ins.) printed on medium laid paper sheet size 66 cms. x 56 cms, (26 x 22 ins.) with full margins and deckle edges and will be shipped rolled.
Hand signed and dated in pencil bottom right, with the edition 16/35 in pencil.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
