Catherine Grubb, born 1945, contemporary artist, printmaker and historian, born in Scotland, studied at Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh. Lived in London and moved to live in Cornwall. Several of her works are in the National Collection and at Stirling and Edinburgh Universities, her etchings have been widely exhibited and can be found in many public and private collections - including those of Vanessa Redgrave, Sophia Loren and Brian Forbes.
A fine original etching which is bright and unfaded in orange ink with fine detail and plate toning. The image size measuring approximately 35 cms. x 51 cms. (14 x 20 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a wove paper sheet size 42 cms x 58 cms.(16½ x 23 ins.) with full margins. Will be shipped rolled.
Signed, dated and titled in pencil by the artist in the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
