Cecil Tatton-Winter; 1895-1954, Cecil was the son of artist William Tatton winter R.B.A. (1855-1928). Cecil served in the army during the First World War, and considered making the army his career, but took his father's advice and became an architect instead, also producing etchings and paintings in watercolour.
A fine coloured etching which has bright and unfaded colouring with raised intaglio ink lines, the image measuring approximately 11 cms. x 9 cms. (4½ x 3¾ ins.) within a strong plate mark and impression.
Printed on a wove paper sheet size 23 cms. x 23 cms. (9 x 9 ins.)
Signed and titled in pencil by the artist in the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is very good with handling marks condusive with age.
