Claude Hamilton Rowbotham; 1864-1949 exhibited; 1900-12 and was a landscape watercolour painter and etcher who lived at Wallingford, Berks, & exhibited mainly at the Walker's Gallery, London.
Claude is well known and sought after for his etched views of Cornwall and the West country.
A finely detailed atmospheric colour etching with aquatint has unfaded colours, printed with coloured inks, the image measuring approximately 11 cms. x 14 cms.( 4 x 5½ ins.) within a fine but evident plate mark and impression.
Printed on a wove paper sheet size 22 cms. x 28 cms.( 8 x 11 ins.) with full margins.
Titled and signed by the artist in pencil.
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
