Donald Hamilton Fraser
Donald Hamilton Fraser; 1929- 2009, schooled at the Maidenhead Grammar School in Berkshire, England. In the 1940s, he worked at the Sunday Times as an editorial trainee while completing his National Service. From 1949 to 1952, Fraser trained at London's Saint Martin's School of Art together with contemporaries including Frank Auerbach, Sandra Blow, Sheila Fell, Leon Kossoff, Jack Smith, and Joe Tilson, He gained a French Government Scholarship in Paris in 1953 where he lived and worked for two years and also taught at the Royal College of Art, London.
A fine contemporary print, which is bright and unfaded in vibrant coloured inks. The image measuring approximately 31 cms. x 47 cms. (12 x 18½ ins.) printed on a full size artists wove paper sheet size of 46 cms. x 65 cms. (18 x 25½ ins.) will be shipped rolled.
Pencil signed by the artist with the edition 152/175 below the image, the sheet also carries an ‘Advanced Graphics, London’ embossed blindstamp.

Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is excellent with minor handling marks condusive with age.
