Edward John Burrow; 1869 - 1935, Originally trained as a chemist and pharmacist, Edward was born in Somerset and studied at Cheltenham College, later settling in the spa town. Active as a topographical etcher and draughtsman, he established a cooperative publishing business in Cheltenham in 1900.
A very fine etching which is bright and unfaded in dark brown ink with fine detail and plate toning. The image printed on a wove paper sheet measuring approximately size 28 cms x 18 cms.(11 x 7 ins.) laid to a backing.
Signed, titled and dated in the image and signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin with a small remarque etching.
Unframed and unmounted, trimmed to within the platemark, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
