Emil Orlik (July 21, 1870 – September 28, 1932) was a painter, etcher and lithographer. He was born in Prague, which was at that time part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and lived and worked in Prague, Austria and Germany.
This finely detailed etching is bright and unfaded, with excellent black intaglio ink lines, fine detail and plate toning. The image measuring approximately 13 cms. x 7 cms. (5 x 2¾ ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on an early laid paper sheet size 28 cms. x 19 cms. (11 x 7 ins.) with makers watermark and deckle edges.

Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and the sheet is good, with toning and handling marks condusive with age.
