Gilles Sacksick, born 1942 Paris, French Postwar & Contemporary artist painter, engraver and lithographer. Loving art from an early age, visiting the Louvre and developing an admiration for the works of Rubens and Vermeer, Rembrandt and Delacroix, Gilles schooled at the Lycée Voltaire in Paris and the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Around 1974-75, he became particularly interested in lithography and etching. He made his first engravings in the studio of Pierre Pichard.(first at Bramsen).
A beautiful print with superb unfaded, colour, ink lines and textures. The image measuring approximately 59 cms. x 41 cms.(23 x 16 ins.) on a wove paper sheet size 65 cms. x 51 cms.( 25½ x 20 ins.) with full margins, deckle edges and makers watermark. Will be shipped rolled.
Hand signed in pencil by the artist with the edition 12/150 in pencil beneath the image.
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
