Gordon Faggetter; 1948- ... born in in Surrey in the U..K as a child had a passion for painting. He moved to Brighton with his family until 1965 where with two friends created the group 'The Cyan Three' (the name comes from the fact that they were three guys with blue eyes).
The Cyan Three arrived in Italy in 1967, were selected and signed to the legendary Alberigo Crocetta, to accompany performances by Patty Pravo at the Piper Club. Afterwards the group accompanied Mia Martini. In 1973 Gordon settled in Rome and now lives in Campagnano di Roma, where he continues to paint in watercolour and oil with passion, teaching painting, participating in exhibitions, and performing works on commission.

Gordon was a follower of Dali and his surrealism but in 1988 was commissioned for an oil painting on canvas depicting Christ and the 117 martyrs, which was accepted by the Vatican.
This fine etching has retained its excellent colouring, bright and unfaded, in dark brown ink with fine detail, ink lines and plate tone, the image measuring approximately 39 cms. x 29 cms. (15 x 11½ ins. ) printed within a strong platemark and impression, on a wove paper sheet 46 cms. x 35 cms. (18 x 14 ins. )
Signed and dated in the image and signed by the artist in pencil with the edition 70/90 in the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
