Graham Walsh; 1917-1988, Artist and Teacher, born in Ferndale in the Rhondda Valley, Wales. As an enthusiastic amateur artist, he left school and studied at Cardiff School of Art, on the outbreak of World War II he volunteered for the Royal Air Force serving throughout the war in the RAF Signals in Egypt. After the war he moved to London and enrolled in the Finchley School of Art and Design and gained a diploma there under the tutelage of the artist J.C Moody.
A fine etching which is bright and unfaded in a black ink.The image size measuring approximately 28 cms. x 19 cms. (11 x 7½ ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a laid paper sheet size of 31 cms. x 24 cms. (12 x 9½ ins.) with full margins and makers watermark.
Signed and titled by the artist in pencil in the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks and scattered foxing to the margins condusive with age.
