An opportunity to purchase a very early artwork of a well known modern British artist.
Jenny Grevatte; 1951- British artist; lives in Leicestershire, her greatest influences are said to have been Matisse and the Post-Impressionists, the Scottish Colourists, and the St. Ives School painters. Although based in the Midlands, Jenny is a frequent visitor to West Cornwall and much of her artistic output features the harbours, coves and beaches of Cornwall.
This original etching is bright and unfaded in black ink with excellent detail and plate tone, the image measuring approximately 18 cms. x 37 cms. (7 x 14½ ins.) printed within a strong platemark and impression on a medium wove sheet, size 22 cms. x 45 cms. (8½ x 18 ins.)
Signed in pencil by the artist with the title and date also in pencil, in the lower margin.
Unmounted and unframed, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
