Joel Phleat Boyd; 1917-1983, American artist; Ardmore Oklahoma
A fine etching which is bright, unfaded in coloured inks, with excellent detail and vertical ink lines typical of a Boyd composition. The image size measuring approximately 18 cms. x 22 cms. (7 x 9 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression, on a medium wove paper sheet size 25 cms x 33 cms.( 10 x 13 ins.)
Signed and dated in the image and signed and titled beneath the image in pencil with the edition 68/200 also in pencil.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is very good with a light toning to a previous mat window.
