John Corbet Anderson; 1827-1907, Victorian archaeologist, antiquarian, artist and Croyden local historian was known to have lived at Duppas Hill, Croyden in 1852 before moving to Addiscombe.
A excellent photomezzotype in black ink with fine colour and textures, bright and unfaded, the image printed on a wove paper sheet measuring approximately 29 cms. x 37 cms. (11½ x 14½ ins.)
A copy can be seen at; the Museum of Croydon website.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks and edge wear condusive with age.
