John Fullwood; English etcher; 1854-1931, a successful landscape painter, etcher and illustrator, he studied in Paris and Birmingham. Exhibited at the Royal Academy and was a member of the R.B.A and R.I.
A very fine drypoint etching which is bright and unfaded, with excellent plate tone, detail and drypoint burr in black ink, the image measuring approximately 18 cms. x 20 cms, (7 x 8 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression on a wove paper sheet size of 24 cms. x 27 cms, ( 9¼ x 10½ ins.)
Signed in the image and signed and in pencil in the lower margin. Included is the original gallery/exhibition label.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
