Bryan Organ; born 1935; British artist, born in Leicestershire, he now lives in London and Leicestershire, studied at Loughborough College of Art and at the Royal Academy Schools and was a Lecturer in Drawing and Painting at Loughborough College of Art from 1959-65.
His paintings include portraits, the following of which are in the National Portrait Gallery: Dr Roy Strong, 1971; Lester Piggott, 1973; Harold Macmillan, 1980; HRH The Prince of Wales, 1981; Lady Diana Spencer, 1981; Lord Denning, 1982; Jim Callaghan, 1983; HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, 1983.
This original print has retained its colouring, bright and unfaded, with black ink tones and textures. The image measures 18 cms. x 18 cms, (7 x 7 ins.) printed on medium laid paper sheet size 25 cms. x 25 cms, (10 x 10 ins.)
Signed and dated in pencil by the artist with the edition 88/150 in pencil. The sheet also carries the papermakers/printers embossed blindstamp to the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with a light toning to a previous mat window and handling marks condusive with age.
