Marcel Armand Rencoule
Marcel Armand Rencoule; French/Scottish artist flourished early 1900's, very little is known of this artist other than the majority of his known works are of Scottish subjects.
A fine etching with drypoint which has retained its colour, bright and unfaded, with superb raised intaglio ink lines, plate toning and drypoint burr, the image measuring 18 cms. x 13 cms. (7 x 5 ins.) printed within a strong platemark and impression on a laid paper sheet measuring 24 cms. x 19 cms. (9½ x 7½ ins.)
Signed and titled in pencil by the artist in the lower margin.
Unmounted and unframed, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with a toning to a previous mat window and handling marks condusive with age.
