Martin Snape; 1852-1930, English painter who worked in oils, watercolours and engraving. He concentrated on topographical subjects including landscapes from the Meon Valley, and shore and maritime scenes around Portsmouth Harbour and his home town of Gosport. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1874 and 1901.
An original lithograph which has retained its colour, bright and unfaded in black ink, with fine detail. The image measures approximately. 13 cms x 20 cms. (5 x 8 ins.)
Printed on a wove paper sheet size 18 cms x 25 cms. (7 x 10 ins.) laid to a backing card.
Signed in the image, titled illegibly with the date 1907 in the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is very good.
