Pat M. Mallinson (Pat M. Allman-Smith); 1930-2008, London-born, Mallinson studied at the Regent Street Polytechnic, now the University of Westminster; at Goldsmiths, University of London; and at City and Guilds of the London Art School. She taught for a time at the Farnborough Hill Roman Catholic girls’ school in Hampshire and at the new Camden School of Art. She settled in Kent.
This original hand finished etching is bright and unfaded, in coloured inks, with fine detail and plate tone, the image size measuring approximately 10 cms. x 15 cms. (4 x 6 ins.) within a strong platemark and impression, on a wove paper sheet with size of 22 cms. x 28 cms. (8 x 11 ins.)
Unmounted and unframed, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
