Remsey Jeno Gábor
Remsey Jeno Gábor; Gödöllo 1925-1999, Hungarian artist and etcher. From 1942 to 1949 he studied music and began painting fine arts with painter Jeno Remsey and Sándor Nagy painter. Between 1958 and 1975 he was a teacher and then head of the Music Teacher's Workplace in Gödöllo. He traveled to study in England, Austria and Transylvania and exhibited in England in 1971 & 1973.
An original etching which is bright with unfaded colour, printed with black ink, with superb plate toning, the image measuring approximately 42 cms x 31 cms. (16¾ x 12 ins.) printed within a strong plate mark and impression, on a full size wove paper sheet measuring 61 cms x 43 cms. (24 x 17 ins.) with full margins. Will be shipped rolled.
Signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin and titled and signed on the reverse.
Unframed and unmounted, the condition of the image and sheet is very good with and handling marks condusive with age.
