Renée Halpern; Polish artist born in Warsaw in 1914, Renée Halpern went to Paris at 18 where she befriended Soutine and Albert Marquet in Montparnasse. She exhibited her paintings in Paris, New York and Israel in 1968. Renée Halpern worked as an abstract painter for a short while and later produced figurative works.
A superb print which is bright and unfaded in coloured inks. The image measuring approximately 34 cms. x 56 cms. (14 x 22 ins.) printed on a wove paper sheet measuring 39 cms. x 61 cms. (15 x 24 ins.)
Signed by the artist in pencil below the image with the edition IV/XV (4/15).
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
