Simon Moulijn 1866-1948, Dutch ,author, painter, etcher, graphic artist, woodcarver, illustrator, lithographer, designer and draftsman. Studied at the Academy of Visual Arts and Technical Sciences in Rotterdam and at the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Appointed lithography teacher at the Rotterdam Academy of Visual Arts. He took classes with August Alleb, among others. He was a member of the Haagse Kunstkring, the Association for the Promotion of Graphic Arts (De Grafische), Puchri Studio in The Hague and Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam.
A fine original lithograph printed in grey ink, the image measuring approximately 25 cms. x 33 cms. (10 x 13 ins.) printed on a wove paper sheet size 39 cms. x 37 cms. (15½ x 15 ins.)
Signed with the artists initials in the lower image and also signed by the artist in pencil in the lower margin.
Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and the sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
